That’s okay. I had a feeling that answer would get posted.

I hear it goes really well with liver and a nice chianti.

    Mr. Lecter said so.

    Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Looks like you’re not getting too many answers… here’s a little help to make up for my goofy answer (I can’t vouch for any of these recipes, as I’ve never eaten a fava bean in my life).

    YES!!!

olive oil – garlic – lemon juice
    simmer 10 minutes
added diced tomatoes (one big can)
    simmer 20 minutes
add four big cans fava beans
    simmer 40 minutes
    mash beans
    simmer 10 minutes
put in to bowl, top with olive oil and lemon juice

Love this dish. Eat it with some flat pita. Add harrisa(sp?) for some spicey.

The above answer (olive oil, lemon juice, etc) is a very common Middle Eastern way of eating fava beans, and very tasty too! It’s often served at room temperature. Add some chopped fresh parsley too.
